Who are we?
My name is Kelly, and I am the founder of Ormée. After earning a bachelor's degree in Executive Assistantship and another in Translation, I worked for several years as an employee in various companies, never quite feeling like I belonged.
In 2025, I became a mother to a little boy, and I longed for something different – to work for myself while still being available to care for my son.
My partner, Salem, is also part of this adventure. From the beginning, he has encouraged me to move forward, to dare, and to take the plunge. Even though he prefers to work behind the scenes, nothing would have been possible without him, so this project is also a little bit his.
The History of Ormée
During my pregnancy, I had a lot of trouble finding clothes that fit my growing bump. In my region, there was nothing for expectant mothers. After giving birth, I encountered the same difficulty finding clothes suitable for breastfeeding, so I wanted to develop something so that other expectant mothers would no longer have this problem.
Originally, the idea was to open a maternity clothing store. Then, the project evolved into a concept store. The idea? To find all the essentials for pregnancy, postpartum, and baby's first few months.
Ormée, what is it?
The name Ormée is inspired by the orange blossom, a symbol of purity, fertility and motherhood, but also of protection, love and fidelity. The name perfectly reflects the atmosphere and values we wish to establish in our shop.
We are not a baby store, but a concept store dedicated to (future) mothers and their babies. You will find clothes, as well as childcare accessories, useful accessories during pregnancy and for breastfeeding, and also suitable care products for Mom and Baby.
Our Values
Experience and attentiveness
Before being retailers, we are parents. We have already gone through the different stages from pregnancy to baby's first months. We don't present ourselves as healthcare professionals or model parents, but as learning parents who want to create a friendly place where we can discuss and share our experiences as parents.
Meaningful brands
We carefully choose the brands we work with. We select them for the quality of their products, striving as much as possible to opt for Belgian or European brands and natural products that respect baby's physiology.
A unique concept in the region
Ormée stands out by offering in one place almost all the essentials for a peaceful pregnancy, comfortable breastfeeding, and serene motherhood. No need to run to 5 different stores, we've gathered everything in one.
Proximity
Ormée is above all a local shop. We want to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in our shop, in the style of Mouscron. Coming to Ormée means choosing proximity, contact, and human interaction. We are attentive, so if you have any requests or suggestions, please don't hesitate to let us know.
